I picked up the Akai MPK Mini MK3 for its compact size and versatility. The 25 synth-action keys are surprisingly playable given the mini format, and the 8 backlit pads are great for finger drumming. The built-in arpeggiator and effects add creative possibilities without needing extra gear. Integration with my DAW was straightforward via USB. However, the mini keys may feel cramped for pianists, and the overall build is mostly plastic.
